I ordered a couple chicken and lamb stews with jollof rice and it was really good. It's very different and unique. I was expecting it to be a restaurant but it ended up being a food truck so I was a bit disappointed but overall I would recommend it.

The fufu and egusi is DELICIOUS And it says a lot when you go there three times in one week. Customer service is good but the person who always makes me smile is soda. atmosphere is pretty decent But at the same time a little sketchy. but the food makes up for it

Had Fork in Nigeria twice when they've stopped by A2 and loved both times so I figured I'd try out this location. I got the fufu with goat egusi stew and joloff with oxtail. Portion size is good (I was able to split this into 3 meals). But the meat could be more tender here. Both times I got takeout in A2, I had fall-off-the-bone tenderness. However, the flavor was definitely there and overall I enjoyed my meal very much. I wish they had a truck in A2 again.

Sometimes ordering food is a hit or miss especially foreign food, but when I tell you the Egusi Stew w goat meat was AMAZING! Didn’t think it would be this good, but it WAS and filling! Great portion, and flavor! The Zobo drink was flavorful never had anything like it!

I’m Nigerian so I can say the food was nice. I’ve definitely had better but it was not bad at all. I got pounded yam and egusi with chicken and a side of jellof rice. The jellof rice needed more salt but maybe that was done on purpose because of different people’s tastebuds. The pounded yam was small though It’s probably a third to half of the size of what I’ve gotten in any Nigerian restaurant I’ve ever been to. Now having said that the egusi was a good size. I have leftovers to eat later with something else. I would definitely go back. The food was good and I understand people are just trying to run their business and make money that’s worth their time and effort. I support you guys

Fork in Nigeria - Romulus offers a rich taste of authentic African cuisine right in the heart of Michigan. Nestled at 35426 Goddard Rd, this spot is more than just a restaurant—it's a cultural experience that brings the vibrant flavors of Nigerian cooking to Romulus. Whether you visit their food truck or dine in, the menu highlights are a vivid showcase of traditional dishes that captivate the senses.

The Puff Puff, a sweet and fluffy Nigerian doughnut, serves as a perfect starter, delivering a light and airy bite that balances richness with subtle sweetness. Pair this with the Zobo Drink, a refreshing hibiscus-based beverage, bursting with a tangy, floral flavor that cleanses the palate and complements the hearty meals to follow.

What truly stands out is the Egusi Soup and Pounded Yam—two staples of Nigerian cuisine. The Egusi is made from ground melon seeds and slow-cooked with an aromatic blend of spices and meat, offering a complex, savory depth filled with tender chunks of goat or lamb. The Pounded Yam, smooth and slightly elastic, is the ideal partner, allowing you to scoop and savor every drop of the soup’s rich essence. The balance of textures and flavors here is a testament to the careful preparation and respect for tradition this kitchen maintains.

Jollof Rice is another highlight, praised for its well-seasoned, spicy warmth. The rice is cooked with tomatoes, peppers, and an array of spices, creating a smoky, vibrant dish that resonates with the heart of West African cooking. Customers often compliment the spice level, which strikes a harmonious chord without overwhelming the palate, making it both comforting and exciting.

The Meat Pies reflect yet another dimension of Nigerian street food culture—flaky, golden crusts wrapped around savory fillings that satisfy any craving for a handheld treat. These pies are perfect for a quick snack or a complement to the main dishes, adding variety and richness to the meal.

Customer feedback highlights the genuine passion behind each dish and the effort to infuse cultural authenticity into every bite. Some note the slight variations in meat tenderness depending on the location, but consensus reveals that the flavors remain bold and inviting. The personable service and the enthusiasm of the staff add warmth to the dining experience, making Fork in Nigeria not just about food, but about connection.

In essence, Fork in Nigeria - Romulus is a gateway to Nigerian culinary heritage, embracing bold spices, traditional cooking methods, and community spirit. For those seeking to explore African cuisine beyond the usual, this spot offers a delicious and heartfelt invitation to savor something truly special.
